The project comprises a 5 km subsea tunnel linkage between Tuen Mun and Lantau across busy Urmston Road and a 1.6 km long sea viaduct bridge connection to North Lantau Highway (NLH).

Axon was appointed as the Marine Traffic Consultant to review the key marine construction activities associated with the Works including Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations, viaducts lifting and seawall constructions, reclamations adjacent to River Trade Terminal (RTT), northern and southern landfalls for the TBM, re-provisioning of government berths and associated facilities at RTT and dredging operations.
